Recently, Newwish has officially signed a cooperation agreement with Optics Valley Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park, kicking off the construction of its new headquarters and the 10,000-ton forging equipment factory. This project will provide robust support for the company’s continuous pursuit of higher-grade forming capacity.
Newwish was founded in 1993 with origins at Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Led by founder Professor Huang Shuhuai, the team has long carried out scientific research on core technologies of forging equipment. In 2003, it successfully developed China’s first prototype electric screw press, filling the domestic technical gap. Since then, Newwish has established its development orientation: taking electric screw presses as core products and focusing on high-end hot die forging industrial mother machines.
Since then, Newwish has gradually transformed from a university-affiliated enterprise into an independently market-oriented operator. It continues to deepen its efforts in the field of hot die forging industrial mother machines, continuously translating scientific research achievements into engineering practice, and has realized the transformation from a single equipment manufacturer to a supplier of integrated die forging solutions.
Driven by continuous national policy guidance and industrial upgrading, the manufacturing industry has entered a new era featuring automation, intelligence and green development. High-precision and high-efficiency production modes have gradually become the industry consensus, and high-end manufacturing demands superior forming capacity. As early as 2016, Newwish took the lead in setting servoization and large-scale development as its core development directions. The company keeps breaking through key core technologies and setting new industry benchmarks.
Nowadays, represented by the world’s first and largest 10,000-ton servo direct-drive CNC electric screw press, Newwish has achieved a leap from industry follower to leader. Its products are exported to more than 50 countries and regions across the globe, and the company has grown into a world-leading supplier of hot die forging industrial mother machines and integrated die forging solutions.
The newly constructed headquarters will serve as an R&D innovation and industrial collaboration center for high-end forming equipment and integrated die forging solutions. Focusing on servoization, large-scale development and digital intelligence, it will continuously advance the in-depth integration of digital technology, artificial intelligence and forging processes. Moving forward, Newwish will continue research and development in digital twins, CAE process simulation, AI process knowledge platforms and other fields to further improve the key technical system for intelligent forging.
The concurrently constructed 10,000-ton forging equipment factory will not only meet manufacturing demands for major equipment, but also continuously strengthen capabilities for integrated die forging solutions. It will conduct engineering verification and application scenario development focusing on key technologies including automated unit integration, product trial production, die process, machine vision and additive manufacturing. The facility will further enhance collaborative innovation across equipment, processes, automation and digitalization, delivering more comprehensive integrated solutions to customers.
